This weekend was all about the kids having a bit of down time at the end of the school holidays. And there idea of down time is building the biggest fort they can manage, in my ‘toy free’ zone, the living room. They constructed it using the kitchen chairs, loads of blankets, hair ties, and pillows from MY bed, their beds and couch cushions. Basically every bed in the house was stripped and my living room became a battle ground.
